It Takes One To Know One: Alec Baldwin reports Palin’s false hokeyness!

This week, through his “Huffington Post” blog, Alec Baldwin warned his readers to take notice of the Sarah Palin’s contrived simplicity. An actor himself, it seems Baldwin sniffed out a top notch performance. Noting the similarities to George W Bush’s “anti-intellectual, homespun style,” Baldwin called Plain’s recent gaffes “calculated” and “a gamble by Palin and her handlers.” Labeling her a “phony populist” Baldwin urged his readers not to fall for the former Alaskan governor’s performance, and fingered Palin as falsely folksy.
Meanwhile, according to The Associated Press, following a dispute with his 14 year old daughter, Baldwin, author of "A Promise to Ourselves," the divorce and family-court help book, threatened: "I'm tired of this. I'm going to take some pills. I'm going to end this." Ironically in his piece regarding Palin, almost stressing the importance of such impulsive freak-outs, Baldwin wrote: “This woman hasn't moved a muscle spontaneously since she was selected as McCain's running mate.” Luckily, Baldwin’s spontaneous combustion was limited only to his emotions at this time, and he was released from the hospital prior to this report. Perhaps Alec should scribble some crib-notes on his palm before his next intense family discussion, or at least consider a more calculated response. Baldwin will cohost the 82nd Annual Academy Awards with Steve Martin in March.
